Earlier, resuming at 191/3, India A's overnight batsmen VA Jagadeesh and Abhishek Nayar both missed out on centuries. Jagadeesh was bowled for 86 by fast bowler Miguel Cummins while Nayar departed for 89, trapped LBW by left-arm spinner Nikita Miller.
It was left to wicketkeeper-batsman Uday Kaul to take the team closer to the visitors' total. He remained unbeaten on 69. India A were bowled out for 359 in 131.1 overs.
