Tait has been withdrawn due to a Grade 1 lateral hamstring strain.

The replacements for the Australian duo are Sachin Baby and Sri Lanka's Kushal Perera.

"The CLT20 has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the Champions League 2013 has approved Kushal Perera as a replacement player for Brad Hodge in the Rajasthan Royals squad. Hodge was replaced after sustaining a Grade2-3 MCL ligament tear on his left knee during the semi-final match against Chennai Super Kings in Jaipur," the media release stated.

"The CLT20 has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the Champions League 2013 has approved Sachin Baby as a replacement player for Shaun Tait in the Rajasthan Royals squad. Tait suffered a Grade 1 lateral hamstring strain during training on 20th September and was undergoing routine treatment. He initially responded exceptionally well and returned to light running and bowling off six steps within five days. Tait then returned to bowling in the nets but was unable to bowl beyond 65-70% without onset of pain in the lateral hamstring and the team medical staff felt that treatment and rehabilitation should continue.

"The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad," it added.
