ICC World Twenty20 2014 Schedule

Dhaka, Oct 27: India are grouped with Pakistan, West Indies, Australia and a Qualifier for the ICC World Twenty20 2014 to be held in Bangladesh from March 16 to April 6. The main tournament opener sees India facing Pakistan in Mirpur on March 21.

All Squads; Results

The groups and fixtures for the tournament were announced by ICC today.

This time, the World T20 sees an increase in the number of teams to 16. The top 8 sides are seeded straight into the main draw while the other 8 play first round (qualifiers) and two will make the cut for main draw.

Group 1 features Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, New Zeland and Group B Qualifier (Q1B). India are in Group 2.

Here are the groups and fixtures (there will be qualifying tournament with 6 teams in action. Group toppers will make the main draw which will feature 10 sides)

Qualifiers: March 16 to 21.

Group A: Bangladesh, Qualifier (Afghanistan), Qualifier (Hong Kong), Qualifier (Nepal)

Group B: Zimbabwe, Qualifier (Ireland), Qualifier (United Arab Emirates), Qualifier (The Netherlands) 

Super 10 (S10) Groups (Based on teams' rankings on ICC T20I Team Rankings as on 8 October 2012)

Group 1: Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, New Zealand, The Netherlands (Group B Qualifier 1 (Q1B)

Group 2: West Indies, India, Pakistan, Australia, Bangladesh (Group A Qualifier 1 (Q1A)
