Ishant and Vinay dropped for WI ODIs

Mumbai, Nov 12: Fast bowlers Ishant Sharma and R Vinay Kumar were dropped from the Indian ODI team for the three-match series against West Indies.

The selectors announced a 15-man squad today naming uncapped Mumbai paceman Dhawal Kulkarni and Haryana quick Mohit Sharma in place of Ishant and Vinay. Mohit has played two ODIs taking three wickets.

Ishant and Vinay both had a poor series against Australia in the recently concluded 7-match series. India won the series 3-2.

Ravindra Jadeja, who was rested for the ongoing two-Test series due to a shoulder problem, returns to the squad. Yuvraj Singh, who had a poor series against Australia, has been retained.

The first match of the series is on November 21 in Kochi.

1st ODI: November 21: Kochi (1.30 PM IST start)

2nd ODI: November 24: Visakhapatnam (1.30 PM IST)

3rd ODI: November 27: Kanpur (9 AM IST)
