Mumbai, Nov 14: In the historic 200th Test match of Sachin Tendulkar at Wankhede Stadium here today, Team India captain MS Dhoni equalled Sourav Ganguly's record.

Dhoni, leading India for the 49th time in Tests, matched Ganguly's achievement.

Captain Dhoni equals Ganguly's record

Ganguly held the record for most number of Tests as India captain with 49 Tests. He had won 21 and lost 13 with 15 draws.

Left-handed Ganguly, who is now part of the commentary team for the ongoing India-West Indies Test series, was India skipper from 2000 to 2005.

Dhoni took charge of the team in 2008 and since then has won 25 Tests. He has lost 12 and drawn 11. Dhon is the most successful Indian Test captain.
