Tendulkar thanks fans, says 'really touched' by 'Thank You' messages

Mumbai, Nov 14: Ahead of his retirement, Sachin Tendulkar has thanked his fans for their support to him for 24 years as he got ready to play his 200th and final Test against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium here today.

Tendulkar took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to thank his fans for the support. The Master Blaster said he was touched by the "Thank You Sachin" messages.

"I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for 24 years of support. Hope you guys liked my messages via @BCCI," tweeted Tendulkar on Tuesday night (November 13).

In another tweet, he wrote: "I am really touched with #ThankYouSachin messages. Your support all these years have inspired me to give my best."

Tendulkar is the first man in 136-year Test history to feature in 200 Tests. He holds the record for most matches, runs and centuries in the five-day format. On November 15, Tendulkar will complete 24 years in international cricket. He made his debut on November 15, 1989 against Pakistan.
