Talking about the special bat designed for Sachin's last test, Tushar Goculdas, brand director, adidas India said, "On the field, Sachin's bat does all the talking and every stroke from his blade is driven by his passion for India and with the intention of making India win."
"Sachin wanted to dedicate his career to the country and use his adidas-ST bat as a symbolic representation of his commitment. Over the last few days, we worked very closely with the master to create this special bat featuring the Indian tri-colour," he added.
Tendulkar got to show off his new bat on the very first day of the match as India bowled out the West Indies for 182 in the first innings.
After the hosts were reduced to 77 for two, Tendulkar, who came out to bat next, got a rapturous reception and the little master did not disappoint as he caressed his way to an unbeaten 38 at the end of the day's play.
India ended the day at 157 for two, just 25 runs behind the visitors.
