Bangalore, Jan 15: Karnataka were dealt a huge blow for their Ranji Trophy semi-final against Punjab when paceman HS Sharath was ruled out of the match to be played from January 18 to 22 in Mohali.

Sharath, who has been a star player in Karnataka's campaign with 32 wickets so far, will miss the Punjab match due to right shoulder injury.
