Asia Cup: India face Pakistan on March 2

Dhaka, Jan 16: India will open their Asia Cup 2014 campaign against hosts Bangladesh on February 26.

The five-nation 50-over tournament will be played in Bangladesh from February 25 to March 8, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced Thursday.

The tournament opener will see defending champions Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka at Fatullah.

There were concerns over the tournament due to security reasons but the ACC has confirmed that the event will go ahead.

In the last edition of Asia Cup in 2012 which was also played in Bangladesh, Pakistan won the tournament. It was also the tournament where Sachin Tendulkar scored his 100th internatioinal century, against Bangladesh.

February 26 (Wednesday): Bangladesh Vs India in Fatullah

February 27 (Thursday): Afghanistan Vs Pakistan in Fatullah

February 28 (Friday): India Vs Sri Lanka in Fatullah

March 1 (Saturday): Bangladesh Vs Afghanistan in Fatullah

March 2 (Sunday): India Vs Pakistan in Mirpur

March 3 (Monday): Afghanistan Vs Sri Lanka in Dhaka

March 4 (Tuesday): Bangladesh Vs Pakistan in Dhaka

March 5 (Wednesday): Afghanistan Vs India in Dhaka

March 6 (Thursday): Bangladesh Vs Sri Lanka in Dhaka

March 8 (Saturday): Final in Mirpur
