India lose No. 1 ODI rank to Australia

Hamilton, Jan 22: Team India were dealt a double blow by New Zealand on Wednesday at the Seddon Park.

Scorecard; Highlights

New Zealand not only defeated India in the second One Day International but also dethroned the MS Dhoni-led side from the top of the ICC ODI Rankings.

Needing to win today's game to retain their No. 1 position, India faltered in the run chase of 297 in the rain-hit match here.

The Kiwis helped their neighbours Australia to reclaim top position in the ICC rankings. India are now pushed to second.
