Sangakkara, Clarke out of IPL 7 auction

Bangalore, Jan 29: Australia captain Michael Clarke and Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara have opted out of IPL 7 Player Auction.

Clarke and Sangakkara's names were missing from the capped players' list announced by IPL.

The highest bid price is Rs 2 crore and Rs 30 lakhs is the lowest.

Clarke has previously played for the now defunct Pune Warriors while Sangakkara was captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

According to a report in "Sydney Morning Herald", Clarke wants to concentrate on his international career with a packed schedule leading up to the 2015 World Cup.

Clarke is intent on "freshening his mind and body" for Ashes defence and World Cup, the report said.

IPL 7 Player Auction will take place in Bangalore on February 12 and 13.
