Hyderabad, Feb 2: Karnataka won their seventh Ranji Trophy by beating Maharashtra in the final on Sunday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here.

The R Vinay Kumar-led team successfully chased down 157 to clinch victory in the last session of play on the fifth and final day.

Meet Karnataka's Ranji Trophy winners

During the course of their victorious Ranji Trophy campaign, Karnataka had 19 players representing them.

It was the triumph of youth for Karnataka. The oldest players in the line-up were of 29 years of age. Vinay and S Aravind are the oldest while Shreyas Gopal, who made his first-class debut this season, is the youngest at 20.

Here are the 11 players who featured in the final and 8 others who did duty during the 2013-14 season.

The winning XI of Karnataka in the final (8 of them had played in 2010 final against Mumbai in Mysore where Karnataka lost by 6 runs)

1. R Vinay Kumar (captain)

Age: 29 (joint oldest in the team with S Aravind); Right-arm fast bowler

Season's performance: 29 wickets, 242 runs (8 matches, 1 ton, 1 fifty)

2. Robin Uthappa

Age: 28; Right-hand batsman (opener)

374 runs (5 matches, 1 hundred, 2 fifties)

3. KL Rahul (Man of the match in final)

Age: 21; Right-hand batsman (opener)

1,033 runs (10 matches, 3 hundreds, 4 fifties). Highest run scorer for Karnataka

4. Ganesh Satish

Age: 25; Right-hand batsman

348 runs (7 matches, 1 hundred, 2 fifities)

5. Karun Nair

Age: 22; Right-hand batsman

494 runs (6 matches, 3 tons - in successive games). Finished the Ranji Trophy final with a six.

6. Manish Pandey

Age: 24; Right-hand batsman

729 runs (11 matches, 3 hundreds 3 fifties)

7. Amit Verma

Age: 26; Left-hand batsman

181 runs (2 matches, 1 hundred)

8. CM Gautam (vice-captain and wicketkeeper)

Age: 27; Right-hand batsman

436 runs (11 matches, 1 ton, 2 fifties). Overall, most dismissals in the Ranji Trophy season as wicketkeeper (40 catches, 3 stumpings)

9. Shreyas Gopal

Age: 20 (youngest in the team); Right-hand bat, Legspinner

Season's performance: 22 wickets (5 matches)

10. Abhimanyu Mithun

Age: 24; Right-arm fast bowler

41 wickets (10 matches). Highest wicket-taker for the team.

11. S Aravind

Age: 29 (joint oldest with Vinay); Left-arm fast bowler

9 wickets (4 matches)

Coaches: J Arun Kumar (batting) and Mansur Ali Khan (bowling). The duo was part of 1998-99 Karnataka winning team.

HS Sharath (32 wickets in 7 games), Stuart Binny (11 wickets, 321 runs in 6 games), Mayank Agarwal (380 runs, 8 games), Kunal Kapoor (167 runs, 5 games), R Samarth (132 runs, 3 games), KP Appanna (11 wickets, 100 runs in 5 games), Ronit More (12 wickets, 3 games) and Abrar Kazi (5 wickets, 5 games).
