Dhaka, Feb 25: Team India will have a chance to add a sixth Asia Cup title as they begin this edition's campaign against Bangladesh tomorrow in Fatullah.

2014 Schedule

India will be led by Virat Kohli in the absence of the injured MS Dhoni. The opening match of 2014 Asia Cup is being played between defending champions Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This time, Afghanistan is also part of the tournament.

The Asia Cup Champions - 1984 to 2012

Five teams will vie for top honours from February 25 to March 8. Bangladesh is hosting the tournament for the second time in a row.

In 2012, the hosts came very close to winning their maiden title before going down to Pakistan by just two runs in the final.

This is the 12th edition of the tournament. The first Asia Cup was played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 1983-84. India won the inaugural tournament, defeating Sri Lanka.
