Fatullah, Feb 26: Virat Kohli has matched Brian Lara with his 19th One Day International century, against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup on Wednesday.


India captain Kohli yet again sizzled with a ton in run-chase in Fatullah. His 122-ball 136 led India to six-wicket victory. India scaled down 280 in 49 overs.

The 25-year-old Kohli has shattered several records so far in his five years of international career. On Wednesday night he added another one, equalling West Indian great Lara.

Playing in his 131st ODI and 124th innings, Kohli produced another classy knock. Lara retired from international cricket with 19 ODI tons from 299 matches (289 innings).

Now, Kohli is joint seventh on highest century-makers in ODIs. The list is headed by Sachin Tendulkar with 49.

Next up in Kohli's sights is Saeed Anwar, who scored 21 centuries.
