Afridi to play in MCC-Rest of World game

London, Mar 3: Pakistan's Shahid Afridi, who starred in last night's thrilling victory over India in Asia Cup, will feature in MCC-Rest of the World match at Lord's this July.

Afridi, Saeed Ajmal and Bangladesh's opener Tamim Iqbal were the three latest cricketers to be named for the match on July 5 at Lord's.

Lord's cricket ground official website on Monday announced that the trio will feature in the one day game to be played as part of bicentenary celebrations of the ground.

MCC XI will be captained by Sachin Tendulkar while Shane Warne, Rahul Dravid and Daniel Vettori will also take part in this match.

Afridi said: "Lord's is always a wonderful place to play cricket and I'm really looking forward to going back there. It's going to be great to be involved in the Lord's Bicentenary celebrations and I'd like to thank MCC for inviting me to take part in the game.

"There are plenty of great players on the team sheet for this match and I can't wait to share a pitch with them again - especially in such an amazing setting."
