Mirpur, Mar 4: Those craving for another India-Pakistan thrilling battle on the cricket field, need not wait for long. Come March 21 and the arch rivals will face off yet again - this time in ICC World Twenty20.
On March 2 (Sunday), Shahid Afridi broke millions of Indian hearts with two successive sixes in the final over to seal a thriller for Pakistan in the Asia Cup league match.
After witnessing that tense climax, people from both countries are waiting for yet another cliff-hanger. And, at the same venue where Afridi's heroics were unveiled - Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium, the sides will lock horns in a bid to produce similar stuff.
With India and Pakistan both drawn in Group 2 for ICC World T20, the Mirpur stadium will be abuzz with more fans than the Asia Cup encounter saw. It was disappointing on Sunday night not to see a packed stadium.
At 7 PM IST, on March 21, India and Pakistan teams will walk out to the ground. And most of the players from that Asia Cup's unforgettable potboiler will be part of that clash too.
Afridi too will be in that match and so is R Ashwin, who bowled the final over in Asia Cup.
Within a span of 20 days, India and Pakistan will be in action at the same venue but in different formats.
It's time to brace up for yet another tense contest.
