Chandimal opts out of World T20 semis

Mirpur, Apr 3: Sri Lanka's regular captain Dinesh Chandimal has opted out of his side's ICC World Twenty20 2014 semi-final against West Indies today.

Match Preview

In Chandimal's absence, fast bowler Lasith Malinga will lead the team. Malinga had captained the side in their previous game too after Chandimal was handed a one-match suspension by ICC due to over-rate offence.

Chandimal's form with the bat has not been good in the tournament and the right-hander could have decided to not play today's match due to this.

The first semi-final match will be played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium and starts at 6.30 PM IST.
