Jayantha Dharmadasa replaces N Srinivasan as ACC President

Dharmadasa replaces Srinivasan at ACC

Colombo, June 30: Sri Lanka Cricket's (SLC) President Jayantha Dharmadasa has taken charge as the President of Asian Cricket Council (ACC), replacing India's N Srinivasan.

According to SLC, Dharmadasa has been appointed President of ACC for the second time. Earlier, he had served in that position from 2006 to 2007.

"Sri Lanka Cricket is pleased to announce that President of Sri Lanka Cricket Mr. Jayantha Dharmadasa has been appointed as the President of Asian Cricket Council with immediate effect. Mr. Jayantha Dharmadasa takes over from Mr. N. Sirinivasan who was the President from the year 2012 . This is the second time that Mr. Jayantha Dharmadasa has been the President of ACC," the SLC media release said today.

Srinivasan, the suspended BCCI President, was recently chosen as ICC's Chairman. He was at the helm of ACC from 2012.
