Derby, July 5: After sending Virat Kohli marriage proposal via Twitter in April this year, England's woman cricketer Danielle Wyatt met the Indian batting star here on July 2. The pictures of their meeting were posted by her brother Max Wyatt on Twitter.
Impressed by Kohli's batting (72 not out off 44) during the semi-final of ICC World Twenty20 2014 in Bangladesh, against South Africa, Danielle had tweeted on the same day (April 4, 2014), "Kholi marry me!!!".
The verified Twitter account of the English cricketer had over 25,000 followers at the time. Now, the followers have increased to more than 53,000.
On July 2, during India's three-day (July 1 to 3) tour match against Derbyshire in Derby, Danielle met Kohli. The Indian batsman posed for pictures with her. India won that game by five wickets.
Danielle's brother Max posted two pictures on his Twitter account @max_wyatt, taken at the ground. "These would make a cute couple haha," he wrote for one picture. The other picture had "Here's @Danni_Wyatt with @imVkohli" accompanied with signs of Thumbs up, heavy heart and face with tears of joy.
Max also posed with Kohli and posted the image with a caption "Legend! @imVkohli". This photo was retweeted by Danielle.
Max, however, did not mention what Danielle spoke to Kohli. Did she propose to Kohli again?
We have to wait to hear from her or the batsman.
