Brisbane, July 15: Wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha continued his great run of form with the bat as he struck his third century in a row to help India A take a 78-run lead against Australia A on the third day of their second four-day game here at Allan Border Field today.
Ojha, who compiled unbeaten knocks of 219 and 101 in the drawn first four-day match at the same venue last week, was back relishing the Australian attack.
In reply to the hosts' 423, India A scored 501 all out in 132.2 overs. Ojha hit 110 while number 10 batsman Umesh Yadav scored his first-class best of 90. At stumps, Australia A were 0/0 in 1 ball in the second innings when bad light forced early end to the day's proceedings.
Ojha had 18 boundaries and three sixes in his 134-ball innings. Yadav was aggressive with 11 fours and 5 sixes. Yadav's 74 runs of 90 came in boundaries.
Captain Manoj Tiwary scored 63 off 118 balls with 10 boundaries. Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah (16 not out) had an 82-run partnership for the 10th wicket.
For the hosts, Chadd Sayers took five wickets for 84 in 30 overs with 8 maidens.
