Bangalore, Aug 6: Robin Uthappa is expected to attract the highest bid at the players' auction for the Wadiyar Karnataka Premier League 2014 (KPL) Twenty20 tournament here tomorrow (August 7).

Uthappa is in Pool A with 27 other top cricketers from the state including Manish Pandey and KL Rahul. However, all-rounder Stuart Binny will be missed as he is away on national duty in England. Other notable absentees are Shreyas Gopal, who was not released by his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians and paceman HS Sharath (injured).

Facts about KPL 2014 players auction

The bid prices in KPL players' auction are very small and no way near to the Indian Premier League (IPL) but it is understandable considering this is a state-based league without outstation players.
