Azharuddin held the Indian ODI captain record with 90 runs. Now, Dhoni owns it with 91st ODI win as India's captain.
Dhoni has led India to Twenty20 World Championship, World Cup and Champions Trophy victories. He is the first captain in history to have won all three ICC trophies.
The wicketkeeper-batsman attributed his success to a fantastic team that he has. "When I started leading the team, I got a fantastic team then, and I have got a fantastic side right now," he said after the win at Edgbaston.
