Hyderabad, Sep 19: India and Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was so angry with a five-star hotel in Hyderabad during the Champions League (CLT20) that he moved the entire CSK team and support staff to another hotel. The reason for this - Hyderabadi biryani, according to a media report. (Video - CSK's unique challenge)
A report in "Mumbai Mirror" said Dhoni was angry with Hotel Grand Kakatiya in Hyderabad when the staff refused the skipper and his team-mates enjoy home-made Hyderabadi biryani sent by Ambati Rayudu, the local boy.
CSK team was in Hyderabad to play Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening game of the CLT20. The match was played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on September 17 (Wednesday). KKR beat CSK by three wickets.

According to hotel rules, outside food is not allowed to be consumed in their premises. However, Grand Kakatiya had relaxed the rules a bit and allowed players to have the home-cooked biryani in their rooms. But Dhoni wanted to use the board room which was not permitted, the report explained.
"Dhoni, whose team played Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Champions League T20 on Wednesday, was so enraged by Hotel Grand Kakatiya's refusal to let them enjoy the biryani, that he made the team management cancel the booking and move the team and support staff to the rival Taj Krishna," the report said today.
"Surprisingly, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials, who too were booked in the same hotel, followed Dhoni to Taj Krishna. And in a clear sign of Dhoni's clout, BCCI chief N Srinivasan too cancelled his booking at Kakatiya for Wednesday," the report added.
Grand Kakatiya confirmed that CSK had abruptly moved out of their hotel. "You should ask the Chennai team management what happened and why they vacated," Suhasini, a member of the hotel's public relations team, told "Mumbai Mirror".
"We don't know if biryani was the cause of the shift. I'm told Dhoni was not happy with the hotel," a top BCCI official said.
Yesterday (September 18) CSK team landed in Bangalore to play their remaining three league matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
