Bangalore, Sep 23: Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina scored a blistering 90 off 43 and on the way set few records in Twenty20 cricket at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here last night (September 22).
The Champions League T20 (CLT20) match between CSK and Dolphins (South Africa) on Monday night was a run feast.
Left-handed Raina, 27, was in unbelievable hitting form as he smashed 8 sixes and 4 fours in his 43-ball 90. His onslaught powered CSK to 242/6 in 20 overs and gave a 54-run victory.
During this knock, he became the first Indian batsman and only the 7th (Chris Gayle, Brad Hodge, David Hussey, Brendon McCullum, David Warner and Owais Shah are the other 6) in the world to aggregate 5,000 runs - 4,000 plus for CSK, both are which new records.
