Kuldeep Yadav in Indian team for West Indies ODIs

Bangalore, Oct 4: Uncapped young left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav has been included in the Indian ODI team for the West Indies series which starts in Kochi on October 8. Offspinner R Ashwin has been rested while Karn Sharma and Sanju Samson, who were part of the team in England, have been dropped.

The selectors picked a 14-man squad for the first three ODIs, here today. It is a five-match rubber against the visitors. Also dropped from the squad are all-rounder Stuart Binny and Dhawal Kulkarni, who were in England. Rohit Sharma has not been included as he is injured. Legspinner Amit Mishra has earned a recall.

Kuldeep Yadav in Indian team

Kuldeep, the Uttar Pradesh boy, has impressed in the Champions League T20 (CLT20), playing for Kolkata Knight Riders. The 19-year-old is yet to play List A matches (50-overs) in senior cricket. He has featured in only 8 Twenty20s. He has played India Under-19 and was a part of the World Cup squad.
