Bangalore, Oct 14: Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey was today included in the Indian T20 squad to face West Indies while Gujarat left-arm spinner Akshar Patel has been added to the side for the last two ODIs against the visitors. The selectors met in Mumbai today and picked the teams.
Pandey, who has been impressive in Indian Premier League (IPL) and also in domestic season, has not played international cricket. Patel, who plays for Gujarat and Kings XI Punjab, has featured in three ODIs for India. Patel was the only addition to the existing 14-man ODI squad.
The five-match ODI series is currently tied 1-1. The fourth ODI is in Dharamsala on October 17 and the final game on October 20 in Kolkata.
The one off T20I is in Cuttack on October 22.
