Captain Dhoni set for milestone match in Dharamsala

Dharamsala, Oct 16: Indian captain MS Dhoni is set to reach another milestone in his glittering One Day International career.

Dhoni, when he walks out for the toss against West Indies in the 4th ODI here at the HPCA Stadium tomorrow (October 17), he will be playing his 250th ODI.

MS Dhoni set for milestone match

The wicketkeeper-batsman will become the 8th Indian to the 250 ODIs milestone. Dhoni, 33, made his ODI debut against Bangladesh on December 23, 2004. In his 249 ODI appearances so far, he has scored 8,186 runs with 9 centuries and 56 fifties. He has also played 88 Tests and 50 Twenty20 Internationals.

The record for most ODI appearances for India and also in the world is held by Sachin Tendulkar. The Master Blaster played in 463 matches.

The five-match India-West Indies series is currently tied at 1-1.
