Mumbai, Oct 17: India will face Sri Lanka in a five-match ODI series from November 1 after the West Indies pulled out of the ongoing tour.

With West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) withdrawing its team from the India series today, due to a pay dispute, BCCI was quick to contact Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

BCCI thanked SLC for its "swift response". "The BCCI wishes to thank SLC for its swift response and for extending its support to ensure that the international cricket season is not curtailed," BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said in a media release.
