On Tuesday, BCCI's Working Committee met in Hyderabad and decided to take strict action against WICB.
"BCCI will initiate legal proceedings against West Indies Cricket Board due to the abrupt cancellation of this tour," BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said.
"All Bilateral tours between BCCI and WICB stand suspended," he added.
Last week, after the fourth ODI in Dharamsala, WICB cancelled the tour following a pay dispute with its players.
West Indies were to play one more ODI, one T20I and three Tests. BCCI said it had suffered huge losses due to the cancellation.
Following this development, BCCI invited Sri Lanka for a five-ODI series from November 2.
