Cuttack, Nov 3: Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane joined an illustrious company of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag when they raised a double century opening stand for India against Sri Lanka here on Sunday (November 2).

It was only the fourth ever double ton partnership for the opening wicket in ODIs for India.
The highest ever is in the name of Ganguly and Tendulkar pair which partnered for 258 runs against Kenya in 2001. The duo has two 200 plus partnerships.
Both Dhawan (113) and Rahane (111) hit centuries yesterday as India posted a mammoth 363/5 in 50 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka were bundled out for 194.
