Cuttack, Nov 3: Openers Shikhar Dhawan (113) and Ajinkya Rahane (111) hit centuries while Ishant Sharma took 4 wickets as India produced a dominant display to rout Sri Lanka by 169 runs in the first One Day International here.
Riding on Rahane-Dhawan duo's tons, India posted a mammoth 363/5 in 50 overs at the Barabati Stadium on Sunday (November 2). In reply, the bowlers kept the visiting batsmen in check to romp home by a big margin. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 194 in 39.2 overs. Ishant was the pick of the Indian bowlers with 4/34 in 8 overs with 1 maiden.
Suresh Raina completed 5,000 ODI runs during his half century. This was his 200th ODI. Before play, he was felicitated for the milestone. (List of Team India's 350+ totals)
India lead the five-match series 1-0. The second game is in Ahmedabad on November 6.
