Dubai, Nov 4: India's R Ashwin continues to be the number one Test all-rounder in the latest ICC Rankings, which were released today after the completion of the Pakistan-Australia series in Abu Dhabi.
With 375 rating points, Ashwin is the number one Test all-rounder. South Africa's Vernon Philander is in the second spot followed by Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh. There has been no change in the top-three standings.
While Ashwin's top position is good news for India, there is nothing to cheer for the batsmen and bowlers. There is no Indian in the top 10 of the Test batting and bowling rankings.
India's highest ranked batsman is Cheteshwar Pujara at 16. Next best is Virat Kohli at 25. Ashwin is also the top ranked bowler at 13. Pragyan Ojha is at 15.
Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara is the leader among the batsmen while Dale Steyn of South Africa tops bowling charts.
India will get back to Test cricket next month when they tour Australia for a four-match series.
