Sachin Tendulkar's book sets new record in India

Mumbai, Nov 7: Sachin Tendulkar, the owner of numerous cricket records, has set another mark after retiring from the game. This time, with the launch of his autobiography "Playing It My Way". (Buy the book here)

According to reports, as on Wednesday (November 6), 1,50,000 copies (hardback) had been pre-ordered in India. The initial order for the book was 1,10,000 copies. The book is published by Hachette India.

Tendulkar's book sets new record

Tendulkar's book (hardback non-fiction category) has broken Steve Jobs' biography record, which had sold 1,30,000 copies.

"As of Wednesday, 1,50,000 copies had been pre-ordered, according to Thomas Abraham, MD, Hachette India. Before this, Steve Jobs' biography by Walter Isaacson was the best-selling book in this category. It sold 1,30,000 copies in India," a report on "Economic Times" said Thursday (November 7).
