DRS to be used for all World Cup matches

Dubai, Nov 11: Decision Review System (DRS) will be used for all 49 matches at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced.

The ICC Board, under the chairmanship of N Srinivasan, met in Dubai on Sunday and Monday (November 10) and made some decisions.

"The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Playing Conditions were also confirmed," ICC said in a media statement.

DRS will be used for all matches while there will be reserve days only for knock-out games. ICC has confirmed that Super Over will not be used to decide tied matches.

And for the final, if there is no result or a tied contest, then both teams will be declared joint winners.

ICC World Cup 2015 will be held in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to March 29. Melbourne will host the final.

# There will be no super over in tied matches in the knock-out phase. In case of a tied quarter-final and semi-final, the side finishing in the higher position in the group stage will progress. If the final is tied or if the match is a no-result, then the teams will be declared joint winners.
