Mumbai: Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee Chandu Borde on Monday described as "fantastic" Indian team's first Test win in 16 years on English soil. "Our team members combined well to give us a fantastic win. It is a good team effort and I am confident that we will win the fourth Test at Oval to notch the series," speaking over phone from Pune, Borde said. "We are improving since the second Test and this win will give the team the much needed confidence to perform better and win the series," Borde added. Asked if any particular player's performance impressed him, Borde said, "Rahul Dravid laid a solid foundation which was followed by others. Sachin Tendulkar and skipper Saurav Ganguly also batted well. Overall, it is a good team effort." Borde also praised the performance of bowlers, particularly Anil Kumble, who claimed seven wickets in the match. Commenting on India's resounding victory, former India captain Polly Umrigar said the team deserved the win as they played "wonderfully". "The team played well from the first day itself. They won a good toss, put up a mammoth total and then bowled well. They really deserve the win," Umrigar added. Extras: Ganguly hails team effort for historic overseas win
