Kolkata: Amidst the euphoria over the stunning victory in the Natwest Trophy final, India's World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev on Wednesday said bowlers needed to be more mature and fielding honed if the country was to regain the title in South Africa early next year. "I think the bowlers lack maturity. May be they will mature in the coming days. Moreover, they need a lot of assistance from fielders who also need to improve," Kapil told a press conference. "There are hundreds of other areas in which the side needs improvement. We are all thrilled and happy with the victory at Lord's on Saturday. But the problem is that expectations have sky-rocketted," Kapil, who led India to the title in the 1983 World Cup, said. Kapil also expressed apprehension over the factor of burn out of players ahead of the World Cup because of a gruelling schedule. "I am worried. But it up to the administrators to decide how much cricket the team should play." The former star all-rounder, however, lavished praise on the current side saying that it had five or six players who could single-handedly fashion a win. "The good thing is that they don't have to depend on one player," he said.
