West Indies by winning the 3rd Test at Bridgetown on May 4 has levelled the series at 1-1 with one Test drawn and will face India at St John's in the 4th Test from May 10.

Prior to this encounter West Indies has played only two Tests against India at this ground - in 1982-83 and 1996-97 and on both these occasions neither side has won a Test.

West Indies has fairly a good record at this venue having won six Tests and losing only 3 in the 16 Tests that have been played here commencing from the first match played here against England in 1980-81.
