While every batsman aspires to score a century every time he goes out to bat, there have been cases of what in cricket parlance is known as the nervous nineties. Sometimes batsmen race away up to their nineties and there after struggle to reach the three figure mark. There have been innumerable times when the batsmen have failed to touch the coveted figure.
