Gordon attempts to clear cobwebs hampering Indians
Monday, February 10 2003 23:34 Hrs (IST)

Paarl: Indian players on Monday had a two-hour session with newly appointed psychologist Sandy Gordon ahead of their opening World Cup match against Holland on Wednesday.

Gordon stressed that all the Indians must set team goals before they take the field and start their campaign, team sources said.

There would be three more team sessions with the South African psychologist, appointed just before the World Cup, till Tuesday afternoon, they said.

The team sessions would be followed by individual sessions with each member of the Indian squad where Gordon would talk to them about their motivation, ambition, psychological blocks and negative thoughts, which hamper their performance.
