Hubli: Former Indian captain Kapil Dev on Tuesday expressed disappointment with the performance of Saurav Ganguly's team in the on going World Cup championship and exhorted the squad to put in its best in the coming matches.

Kapil Dev who was here to launch the Kinetic "BOSS" motorcycle told reporters that he expected the Indian team to do well and reach the super six stage.

The former all-rounder refused to predict the outcome of the match between India and Zimbabwe to be played on Wednesday, but expressed hope that India would play well.

Replying to a question, Kapil said India was playing poor cricket now. Kapil led the Indian team to victory in the 1983 world cup held in England.
