Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid wants to be the catcher when veteran leggie and state-mate Anil Kumble claims his 400th Test scalp, during the course of the four match India-Australia Test
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here, the star Indian batsman said it would be truly great if he happens to pull off a catch of Kumble's bowling leading to his milestone figure of 400 Test wickets.
"Indeed, it will be great if it reads caught Dravid bowled Kumble. That will be like an icing on the cake," he said.
He waxed eloquent on 33-year-old Karnataka mate, who is just three wickets shy of the magical figure of 400 Test sticks.
"Anil is a fantastic cricketer and a person. He is truly a great servcant for Karnataka and Indian cricket. I am truly elated and at the same time excited that he has given me a few exciting moments."
" Watching taking him ten wickets in an innings against Pakistan at Delhi was something out of the ordinary. Hopefully, I will be part of the team in which he takes 400 wickets," Dravid added.
Replying to a query whether he was keen to score a ton at his home ground-- M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where he hasn't scored a century as yet, the right-handed batsman said he always looks to get a hundred wherever he plays.
"I am always keen to hit a century everywhere I play even if I scored a century before. It does not matter which venue it is. We will try to give off our best," he quipped.
Earlier, he released a book titled "Casting a Spell, The Story of Karnataka Cricket" authored by Vedam Jaishankar.
