Tendulkar officially ruled out of tour match

Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar was today officially ruled out of the three-day tie between Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai against visiting Australian cricketers, which is to commence at the Brabourne Stadium on September 30.

The master batsman's name did not figure in the 16-strong squad, led by Sairaj Bahatule, released today by the Mumbai Cricket Association's joint secretary Lalchand Rajput.
