Bangalore: Sachin Tendulkar was today virtually ruled out of the first cricket Test against Australia starting here on Wednesday.

Tendulkar, who arrived here this morning, had a session with team physiotherapist Andrew Leipus, who declared later that the batting genius was "very doubtful".

"He is very doubtful for the first Test," Leipus told reporters.
